Trans Mountain held a public information session on October 2, 2013 about the proposed expansion plans for the Edmonton Terminal in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The information session was attended by 38 people who came to find out more about Trans Mountain’s proposed expansion.

Attendees had a chance to speak with Trans Mountain employees, ask questions about the project and view information about the existing terminal, the changes that are currently happening there and the changes that are proposed as part of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project. Materials also explained the enhancements being made to the terminal’s safety and emergency response system.

Key interests that were discussed included opportunities to bid on construction contracts, the timeline for the different phases of tank expansions and fire response capabilities at the Edmonton Terminal. Those with questions indicated that Trans Mountain staff members were able to provide helpful answers.
