More than 11,000 residents of Vancouver participated in the September 18th Telephone Town Hall with Kinder Morgan Canada President Ian Anderson. Callers asked Ian everything from a broad risks versus benefits comparison, to specifics on marine spill response, including how different products reach in water.
In addition to a full recording posted on our SoundCloud account we’ve pulled a few highlights from the Telephone Town Hall below.
In one of the first calls of the evening Ian went in to detail on liability in the event of a spill.
A couple questions later Mike asked Ian to give him a medical style risks benefits break down of the Project.
The next caller, Anita, wanted to know more about the refining process, and what was being done locally.
And, in one of the last questions of the night Mike Davies, Senior Director of Marine Development gave Ian some help in explaining spill response scenarios in Burrard Inlet and the behaviour of diluted bitumen for Daniel.
