On October 29, 2015, Kinder Morgan Canada held its largest emergency response exercise to date at our Westridge Marine Terminal in Burnaby.  Approximately 300 people took part in the exercise from more than 20 agencies, including federal and provincial regulators, first responders, municipalities, environmental agencies and health authorities.

It was part of our comprehensive emergency management program and provided an opportunity for a co-ordinated and co-operative response between various emergency management agencies and responders, and to practice the activation and implementation of the Westridge Marine Terminal Emergency Response Plan.

Over the past 60+ years, we’ve developed a comprehensive Emergency Management Program. As part of our proposed Expansion Project, we’re building on those programs by developing an enhanced emergency management plan. You can read more about this process here.
