Since announcing the proposed expansion Project, Trans Mountain has been committed to seeking input, gathering feedback and answering questions through our comprehensive engagement program.

Gathering feedback continues, and in keeping with our commitment for ongoing engagement, Trans Mountain conducted an online survey from December 1, 2104 to January 5, 2015 asking: “How do you want to keep talking and listening?”

Here’s what you told us: you are interested in a variety of ways to keep talking and listening. The top three ways you want to provide feedback are: community open houses, online feedback forums and panel discussions.

Note: 131 responses were received to this question; figures will sum to more than 100 per cent as respondents were encouraged to check all answers that applied to them.

Additionally, almost all of the dialogue topics proposed in the survey were of some interest. The most popular topics selected by the respondents were climate change, safety and emergency preparedness, and environmental remediation.

Community open houses, telephone town halls, technical workshops, online forums and one-on-one meetings are some of the public consultation tools that have helped shape the details of our application currently under review by the National Energy Board (NEB). Since April 2012 we have held more than a hundred information sessions, open houses or workshops and over 1,200 meetings between Project team members and stakeholder groups.
