At Trans Mountain, we value our relationships with communities in which we operate. On July 22, we had the pleasure of once again participating in the North Burnaby Community Fair (NBCF). We hosted a booth at the event that provided a children’s activity and information about our existing operations and the Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP). More than 100 people stopped by our booth and we had many positive and informative conversations with local residents about a range of topics such as the TMEP construction schedule and job opportunities with our current operations.
This year's NCBF was even more special because it was held in memory of the event's founder, Ken Ryan. A beloved community leader, Ken founded the NCBF (formerly known as the Kensington Community Fair) more than 20 years ago. It has since become an important event in the North Burnaby community. Ken was also a mentor to the next generation of leaders and inspired many young people to volunteer and give back to their community.
