This year’s United Way Campaign looks a little different, but our staff are still coming together, even if it’s from a distance, to support important causes in our communities.

2019 Campaign - Kamloops

Each year, our United Way Campaign is led by employee volunteers from everywhere we work; including Calgary, Edmonton, Jasper, North Thompson, Kamloops, Abbotsford, Burnaby and Washington State.

2019 Campaign - Calgary

To kick off our month of giving campaign this November, we held a virtual event to hear directly from United Way grant recipient, Val Janz, Chief Operating Officer of Interior Community Services. Based in Kamloops, Interior Community Services provides integrated family support, individual life skills development, and safe nurturing home environments to over 1,100 people in 32 communities. Val shared her personal experiences with us and talked about the positive impact each and every contribution has on her daily work with vulnerable youth and at-risk seniors.

Throughout the month our team will be participating in employee-led virtual events, that will benefit the important local causes in all our communities where we live and work. Trans Mountain matches our employee donations – contributing an additional 50 cents for every dollar raised. Last year, our combined efforts raised more than $100,000 towards important local causes.

This year, even though circumstances may keep us apart, we’re excited to be united in the spirit of giving to support the United Way and the many important causes in our communities.
