Spread 3 and 4A Pipeline Construction

Pipeline construction extends from Rearguard Falls north of Valemount to just south of Avola. Work consists primarily of conventional pipeline construction techniques, with trenchless techniques being used for the multiple crossings of the North Thompson River and the Blue River. In these locations, a horizontal directional drill will be used to minimize impacts and disruption to these areas. The Blue River HDD will also cross under the Mike Wiegele ski resort.

Ledcor Sicim Limited Partnership is the contractor responsible for this work, which includes:

  • Approximately 201 km of pipeline construction
  • Five trenchless crossings using horizontal directional drilling

Ledcor Sicim brings more than 120 years of pipeline experience to the Project, with a particular focus on challenging mountainous terrain.

Spread 4B Pipeline Construction
